Faith Formation
- Once again, we are offering our popular Family Home Study Program to all families with children in grades PreK-8. Families will come together in community at a monthly meeting beginning in early October to learn the foundations of our beautiful Catholic Faith. We invite all families to join us at the 9am Mass before the scheduled meetings.
  
  The focus of this year’s program is the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. All required materials will be provided.
  
  The curriculum is appropriate for Grades Pre-K to 8th.
  
  DATES: Sunday, October 15, November 5, December 3, 2023, and February 11, 2024.
  TIME: 10:15am - 11:30am.
  COST: $100 per family.

Sacramental Preparation

  NOTE FOR ALL STUDENTS:
  
  Any student who wishes to receive sacraments here at Immaculate Conception Church must be enrolled in an age-appropriate Faith Formation Program for at least two years before receiving the Sacrament(s). Please, make sure to register your child for Faith Formation or call the Parish Office at 603-888-0608 for more information.
  
  HOW TO DETERMINE THE SACRAMENT(S) FOR WHICH TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD
  
  - First Reconciliation (Grade 2)
  
  If your child is baptized and in Grade 2 or above and will be enrolled in his/her 2nd year of Faith Formation, he/she is eligible to receive First Reconciliation this school year. This will be the only Sacrament the students will receive during Grade 2.
  
  The First Reconciliation will be celebrated in October 2023.
  The Registration deadline for all students who want to receive First Reconciliation is Thursday, September 21.
  
  - Confirmation/First Eucharist Preparation (Grade 3)
  
  If your child is baptized, has received First Reconciliation, is in Grade 3 or higher, and has been enrolled in (at least) his/her 2nd year of Faith Formation, he/she is eligible to receive Confirmation/First Eucharist this school year.
  
  Our Confirmation/First Eucharist Celebration will be in the Spring of 2024.
  The Registration deadline for all students who want to receive these Sacraments is Sunday, January 1, 2024.
  
  Why is Confirmation received in Grade 3?
  In September of 2020, we held our First Restored Order Confirmation/First Eucharist Celebration. What does that mean? It means that we are now under a new initiative called “Restore • Renew • Proclaim the Hope that is Christ” from Bishop Libasci in Manchester. Although it has been a transition from what we as a Parish and as Catholics are used to, we have embraced it, and as the Bishop states in his letter "A Call to Hope, A Call to Act A Pastoral Letter from Bishop Peter A. Libasci to the people of the Diocese of Manchester January 16, 2019," there are many blessings being realized through this implementation. Therefore, from now on, children in Grade 2 will be prepared for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation only, and in Grade 3, the children will be prepared for both the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist, which will both be received at the same Mass, usually in May of their Grade 3 school year.
  - Confirmation Only (if your child has already received First Eucharist)
  
  If your child has already received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, and First Eucharist, but not Confirmation, and is in Grade 8 or below, and has been enrolled in Faith Formation for at least two years (or in his/her second year), he/she is eligible to prepare to receive Confirmation in the Spring of 2024.
